Your Newborn Session

You’re looking around and thinking about a newborn photo session. Looking at different offerings, you’re feeling kinda overwhelmed to say the least, I get it. This is why you get so much with me. So, I’ll just get right to it and tell you how your session may go ( I say may, because I work around what the baby wants and is willing is to do.).

So let’s say you scheduled your session in your 2nd trimester, as recommended, and then you had your baby. Woohoo! Cue the confetti! Oh, and contact the photographer too (I meeannnn, you can wait until you get home for sure haha). Anyway, you let me know you had them, then we set up an exact date. Sessions are done typically within the first 2 weeks, however, we will go by health of mom and baby. When you let me know and we schedule the exact date, this is when we will talk about the colors you’d like for your little one’s solo portion.

I’ll send you a prep guide an evening or 2 before your session to help ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible (just some things I’ve learned over time).

When you get to the studio, all of the baby’s custom setups are there waiting.  Depending on baby, I may start with just them or maybe with family – this completely depends on them.

The baby’s solo portion takes the longest, ensuring everything is done safely and that every detail is taken care of.

When we move to parent + sibling poses, I will place baby in your arms and ensure you’re comfortable and looking amazing!!

Most clients love adding the unique, custom artwork the studio offers, but this is 100% up to you.

I never want you to feel like you’re on your own here, I am here for you and with you, every step of the way.

WELCOME

Hello! I’m Shannon, the gal behind Wood and Lace. I am a full time professional photographer. When I’m not behind the camera, I am editing, working on the back end (website, marketing, etc), taking new courses to continue to grow my craft, and then all of the mom things after work is over the day. They say if you do something you love that you will never work a day in your life… I beg to differ. When you love what you do, you will work harder than you ever have in your life. The only difference is that it will feel all of the hard work is worth it.
