Newborn Frequently Asked Questions
Scheduling a photo session, especially with a newborn, can seem, well, hard. So hard that you’ll put it off until you can’t or you’ve missed your chance. I’m here to make all that go away. I’m a mom of 2, gigi of 3, and photographed so many babies I can’t remember the number. Everything here is created with a purpose, to make something easier for you. You have enough on your plate right now, this shouldn’t be a stresser, but something you actually enjoy.
How do I pre-book when I'm not sure when baby will come?
We use your due date as a holding spot for pre-booking, this ensures you a spot on my calendar. Since birth and postnatal care can be unpredictable, this approach helps minimize reschedules. Once mom and baby are home, you let me know, and we will set the exact date.
Can I add hair and makeup?
Absolutely! Sometimes we just want to roll in, wearing sweats, hair in a bun, and be pampered. I’ll take care of all of the planning for you!
What do we bring?
Baby and milk! I have all of the props, blankets, headbands, bonnets, wraps (swaddles), etc to make your session a success! There is even a stocked changing table for your convenience!
How do we choose our images?
I’ll send you an online gallery with detailed instructions. If you ever need additional help, I’m always here!
When do sessions take place?
Sessions are held in studio Monday – Friday at 10 am for newborn sessions.
Can my older kids be included?
Of course! For the family newborn sessions, please bring your kids! We absolutely need to get some new family portraits!
What if my baby has acne?
Most babies do have acne to some extent! No worries, I’ll take care of it! You’ll never know it was there!
What if my baby uses the bathroom on your stuff?
Again, no worries! Your baby wouldn’t be the first and won’t be the last! That’s what washers are for!
What if my baby doesn't cooperate?
Sessions are never rushed. Babies are babies no matter where they are. We will just be patient until they get settled, no worries at all. Should they just be having an absolutely horrible day that they’re inconsolable, we can reschedule if needed.
Do you take payment plans?
I do! Many use the pre-pay feature, some use Afterpay, some prefer in-house payment plans. You can ask anyone, I’m super easy to work with! Just let me know!
